I was born and raised in San Pedro, California . My earliest artistic influence came from my mother, who was also an artist. I went on every outing with her and watched the magic happen on her canvases.
I began my art career as an interior designer and after 20 years I decided my art was more important. I spend hours a day pursuing this essential part of my life. A member of the Mother Lode Art Association and one of the directors for the Aloft Gallery in Sonora, California.
While I love to paint landscapes throughout the United States, my inspiration today is from the Sierra Nevada Foothills and Tuolumne county where I now reside.
I always say “my canvas is like a good book and I hate for it to end. Therefore the slow pace of studio painting suits me…..but…the excitement of Plein Air painting stimulates me.”
I also collect pre 1970 papers, books, stamps and letters. After hand painting various papers and antique papers they are torn into small pieces and meticulously and delicately put together to make a one of a kind collage.
